What does NihaoVid do?
NihaoVid translates videos with AI: speech recognition, translation, bilingual subtitles, and studio-style dubbing — so you can reach new audiences faster.
How do I get started?
1. Sign in with email OTP from the homepage or login page.
2. Open your Dashboard, upload a video, and pick a target language.
3. Confirm length and billing, then submit — processing usually takes 5–15 minutes.

Is there a welcome bonus?
Yes. New accounts that sign up with a regular mailbox (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) receive 60 minutes of pay-as-you-go credits plus 1 day of Night Unlimited (unpaid accounts are capped at 2 hours total processing; buying a night plan removes the cap). Use wallet credits anytime; Night Unlimited runs 23:00–8:00 — switch billing modes on the dashboard. Free-trial outputs include a translucent moving watermark (“翻译 - nihaovid.cn” / nihaovid.com). Topping up or buying a plan removes the watermark. No credit card required to start. Temporary / disposable emails are not allowed. Repeat sign-ups from the same device or network may not receive the bonus; you can still top up and use the account.
How does billing work?
Top up from the Pricing page or dashboard. Credits do not expire. Standard rate is $1.0 / minute of video length; packages offer better effective rates. Make sure your balance is sufficient before submitting.
Which video formats are supported?
Common formats such as MP4 and MOV are supported. Use clear audio when possible. If upload fails, try a smaller MP4 (H.264) file.
How long does processing take?
Most jobs finish within 5–15 minutes; long videos or peak times may take longer. The dashboard shows stages: queue → ASR → translation → dubbing → render.
Do night plan and pay-as-you-go use the same download method?
Not exactly. Pay-as-you-go: upload the source locally; the console gives a fast CDN download when done. Night plans (day/week/month): paste a Quark or Baidu share link (no server upload); outputs deliver via Quark share links, with optional batch folder save. Extract codes appear under the download button when present. Files are kept ~3 days — download promptly.
What is the difference between Quality and Speed?
Available in pay-as-you-go and night unlimited. Quality: higher-quality dubbing (Chinese and English targets only) — more natural, may take longer and slightly adjust pacing to fit the audio. Speed: faster, closer to original length, more target languages. Switch anytime; applies to later submissions.
What is voice cloning?
With voice cloning enabled, AI keeps your original tone and style so the dubbed version sounds more like you speaking the target language. You can also upload a reference sample as a saved custom voice. Script preview for “clone” uses a similar preset; full clone needs a full video job.
Can I download subtitles after completion?
Yes. When a job finishes, the order card offers a target-language SRT download alongside the video (same retention window). The SRT is a soft-subtitle sidecar. If you choose “No subtitles (dub only)”, hard subs are not burned into the video; an SRT may still be available.
What is Film / short drama mode?
Best for film dialogue and short drama with multi-speaker scenes; dubbing and pacing are tuned for that use case. Dubbing supports Chinese and English only. Pay-as-you-go only (disabled in night mode). Leave it off for typical talking-head or narration videos.
What if a task fails?
If a task fails due to a platform issue, credits are automatically refunded to your balance. If you see “re-upload required”, check your source file and try again.
